Finding You. Digital Workbook for Black Women
Finding You. A Sacred Journey Home (Book One)
Shaping.
Your essence, your very being has been molded by everything you’ve touched and everything that’s touched you. To survive in a world not built for us, we’ve learned to contort ourselves into shapes that feel safe. We’ve adopted the language, the postures, the dreams of those who’ve never had to question their place in the world.
But remember: our ancestors - Harriet, Audre, Fannie Lou, Assata - they refused the mold. They shattered it. They showed us that another way is possible, that we contain multitudes the dominant culture could never imagine. Their rebellion lives in your bones. Finding You. begins here - with the recognition that you were shaped, yes, but you can also reshape yourself. You are not stone. You are clay in your own hands.
Awakening.
What if everything you’ve been taught to want wasn’t meant for you? What if the ladder you’ve been climbing leads nowhere you actually want to go?
It’s time to wake up to the programming - the insidious belief that their way is the only way. The individualism that taught you to see other Black women as competition instead of community. The success metrics that measure your worth in dollars and degrees while ignoring the wealth of your spirit. The marketing machine that sold you a version of beauty, achievement, and happiness that requires you to abandon yourself.
Finding You. asks the most dangerous question: Who would you be if you hadn’t swallowed their lies? Who were you before the world told you who to be? That woman - wild, whole, and unapologetically herself - she’s still there. And she’s calling you home.
Gathering.
You’ve done the therapy. Read the self-help books. Attended the workshops led by well-meaning others who can name your trauma but cannot hold it. Who’ve never had to navigate this world in brown skin, never had to be twice as good for half as much, never had to smile through the microaggressions and then question whether you’re being “too sensitive.”
You’re hungry for something different. A space where you don’t have to translate your experience. Where your Blackness isn’t a footnote but the foundation. Where you can finally exhale, remove the armor you wear just to get through the day, and be held by women who understand—not theoretically, but intimately - what it means to exist at the intersection of Black and woman in America.
Finding You. is that space. Here, we gather the scattered pieces of ourselves—the parts we hid to be palatable, the dreams we deferred to be acceptable, the rage we swallowed to be safe. We stitch ourselves back together with the golden thread of our collective strength. We bear witness to the divine wholeness in each other, calling forth the Goddess that patriarchy and white supremacy tried to bury.
This is your birthright: Joy. Wholeness. Freedom. Your presence here is no accident. You were meant to rise, to shake off the sleep of oppression, to step into the form your ancestors preserved for you through every Middle Passage, every lynching, every Jim Crow, every “you can’t.”
It’s time to Find You.
The Finding You. digital workbook is your companion on this sacred journey—with guided reflections, focused practices, and writing prompts designed specifically for Black women ready to come home to themselves.
